William -- Right off the bat, I am pretty sure that this is not possible
as Millennium Circulation is taking the exact verbage that is coming
from the character-based system. The user manual sections that
documents checking in items that have a hold on it is at Page # 100086
(Milcirc release 2001) and Page # 102235 (character-based circ release
2001).

I am curious why you would not want the warning that the item that you
have checked in has a hold on it. There might be a different way to get
the system do what you want it to do, but as far as I know, holds will
trigger this system interaction.

Best -- Corey

Subject: Suppressing "put on holdshelf" message?

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how I can suppress the "Place
on Holdshelf" message that pops up in Millennium Circulation when an
item is checked in that has a hold on it.

Thanks in advance,
