Dear Colleagues
Thank you for your responses. I have added a patron type and am now trying
to get it to sing. I am on a Release 2001, text based, software only
system. What I would like to do is set the patron type so that the Patron
API will verify the user type, but not allow check out of materials. This
would be for a guest patron who is sitting down to use a computer. We want
them to be able to access computer services (using Cybrarian and verifying
against Patron API), but not be able to check out books. I'm playing with
settings, but so far have only gotten denial from Cybrarian. Maybe I
cannot set someone to be a patron but be unable to check out items??? Has
anyone done this or come up with another way to do this?
