Material Type Ebooks

Hi,

What are your experience with the use of material type @ = ebooks? On 
CSDirect there is a known issue about @ not working in Advanced search. 
Since we have not implemented advanced search here I assumed it would be 
ok to use it. However, I now find that we can not delete @. Well, it 
looks like we can delete it but it seems that the system still 
recognizes it. When we do a search and then limit the search  by 
material type =ebooks we still get hits even though we have deleted the @.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

(I know that @ can be changed to another letter or number).
