Hello;
We were looking at the indexing of Uniform Titles in our catalogue and since we have them in the 'title' index, they do not collate. Has anyone thought of, or tried, putting uniform title fields in the 'series' index so that they would collate?
Just thinking quickly about it (this was suggested by a staff member), it looks like a good idea. We are following MARC, just tweaking the way our system uses it to get the display we need. Can anyone think of any drawbacks? It still would not be perfect, but might be better than a display of "Sonatas, piano" 20 or so times when that is searched as a title.
