Group,
Is anyone using a
Windows NT or 2000 RAS server for dialup access to your Innovative
system?
We are having a huge
problem getting connected to our new system. We go live on Tuesday, March
26, and have yet to establish connectivity for our
Bookmobile.
Our current
equipment includes a laptop running Windows 98 and using a 3COM Megahertz
3CCM559 PCMCIA modem. We are attempting to dial in to a Windows 2000 RAS
server containing two US Robotics PCI modems. We can dial in to the server
from a land line and logon to the Telnet (text-based) Innovative system
with no problem.
We have a Motorola
bag type cell phone (analog) on the Bookmobile. We can establish
connectivity with the RAS server from the cell phone. During testing, the
connection held for over 15 minutes--until we try a Telnet connection to
the Innovative system. When we attempt to Telnet to the Innovative
system, we get a login prompt and a password prompt; however, after
entering the password, the system hangs or drops the connection. We tried
both INNOPAC and Windows Telnet.
We have checked all
the settings on the RAS server, and are allowing basically every type of
connection possible--no restrictions.
If anyone has a clue
what might be causing this situation, I would be forever in
debt.
Thank
you!
