Mid-Atlantic Innovative User's Group 2002 Elections

The
Mid-Atlantic Innovative Users Group will be holding its 2002 elections
for the Leadership Team during the month of April. We welcome your
nominations for the positions listed below. Each office (except the
Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect) involves a one-year commitment, which begins at
the annual Fall Conference. Anyone interested in running for an office,
please contact either Alan Bartlett (abartlet@xxxxxxxxxx) or Chandra
Gigliotti-Guridi (cgigliotti-guridi@xxxxxxxxxx) no later than March 25th,
2002. 

Vice Chair/Chair Elect (Elect 1)
Duties: Works closely with the Chair in all areas of Mid-Atlantic IUG
organization; serves as main resource person for the Conference Working
Group; agrees to serve as next Chair.
Treasurer (Elect 1)
Duties: Manages Mid-Atlantic IUG bank accounts; receives and accounts
for membership fees; disburses funds as needed. 
Secretary/Membership Coordinator (Elect 1)
Duties: Manage official Mid-Atlantic IUG correspondence; works
closely with Membership Working Group.
Members-At- Large (Elect 4)
Duties: Serves as the Coordinator for one of the "working
groups"; helps facilitate communication and activities for that
group; serves as the main contact between the "working group"
and the rest of Mid-Atlantic IUG Leadership Team.

Working Groups:

Conference: Work with the Vice-Chair to plan, schedule and implement
the annual conference of the Mid-Atlantic IUG.

Communication: Works to enhance and facilitate communication
between members of the Mid-Atlantic IUG through such means as the
listserv, website, email and possibly a newsletter.

Membership: Works with the Membership Coordinator to manage the
records and process for recruiting and renewing member 
institutions.

New Initiatives: Works to explore new ways to enhance the
effectiveness of the Mid-Atlantic IUG through new activities or
services.

        

Please

productive support for libraries in our region.
