- Subject: RE: Create Checkin record at the point of downloading?
III has developed a loader to create a check-in record at the point of
downloading if the OCLC record contains the 891 fields. The 891 fields are
OCLC-defined tags for the CONSER Publication Pattern Pilot Project to
record/embed publication pattern data in the 853/863 fields. When the
check-in record is created, the 853 and 863 fields will be in the check-in
record, and, consequently, the holdings statement (LIB. HAS field in OPAC)
is automatically generated. You can modify the data in the 853/863 fields
to match your local holdings before exporting the OCLC record and you can
edit them locally too. Any other information in the check-in record still
needs to be added/edited locally. We started to use the loader for titles
on new standing orders and titles which have just gone through title
changes. Let me know if you need more detail, or ask for the "CONSER
loader" at the Helpdesk if you are interested.

Subject: Create Checkin record at the point of downloading?
Reply-To: innopac@xxxxxxxxxx
We have been able to create order or item record at the point of
transferring
(downloading) record from OCLC into Innopac in the interactive mode.
Any of you creates checkin records in the same way? If yes, how do you do
it? Do
you have to have a load table specifically for this?
Thanks in advance.
