> Can anybody help me with the procedure to correct a broken link
> between a bib record and an item record.
I found a way to search for broken links in your database and link the "broken
links" again!
Create-a-list and start with an order list if the broken link is an order and start
off with a item list for items not linked. Then type in ? for bibliografic and
then ^ linked record exist n(not) to o of ^ linked record exist n(not) to i. The
search should look as follows:
Start N> Item list and on item type in ? then >BIBLIOGRAPHIC> ^ not
i(item)
Find ITEM records that satisfy the following conditions
LINKED_REC not exist to i
Start N> Order list and on order type in ? then>BIBLIOGRAPHIC> ^ not
o(order)
Find ORDER records that satisfy the following conditions
LINKED_REC not exist to o
Go to Telnet> update review file . Choose you file. On the records -go to the
bibliografic and edit something on the bibliografic record. (I usually just type
something over again, just so that I get the option to " Make changes permanent"
Then the record is link again.
NS Remember always to edit the Bibliographic record not the item or order

vir bibliografies en ^ linked record exist n(not) to o of ^ linked
record exist n(not) to i. Die soektog lyk so
Begin by N> Item list en kies dan ? en dan >BIBLIOGRAPHIC> ^ not
i(item)
Find ITEM records that satisfy the following conditions
LINKED_REC not exist to i
Begin by N> Order list en kies dan ? en dan >BIBLIOGRAPHIC> ^ not
o(order)
Find ORDER records that satisfy the following conditions
LINKED_REC not exist to o
