This answer is in regard to MilSer/Text-based checkin.  While it is true that once you do checkin on a MilSer checkin card you cannot return to the text based system (card) and do further checkin or edit.  However, you can still go into the checkin RECORD and do edits and add or delete fields.  This is very useful , as you may find it is quicker to access your text-based records (if they are like ours and entirely keyboard accessed) if you have a project to update a number of records and can't do it by a review file.  That's another thing - as of now we cannot go into MilSer and do Create-a-List from this mode.  Again, back to the text-based for this task.

We are scheduled for conversion to Millennium in the late Spring.

A couple of questions for those who have made the conversion:

1.  My understanding is that the character based interface can coexist with
the Millennium modules (with the exception of checkin cards in Millennium).
Have you all found this to be the case?  If so, are there disadvantages to
continuing to use the character based interface?

2.  Have you had workflow issues having to do with the GUI interface being
slower?  How have you dealt with these issues?

3.  What have you found in the conversion which, if you had it to do again,
you would do differently?

Thank you.
