If you have Innovative's "traditional" keyword searching (which they often
call Word searching) then two or three words searched will be connected by
AND without the patron having to type AND.
If you have purchased and installed Advanced Keyword Searching (sometimes
simply called Advanced Searching or AVS), then the default is a phrase
search. Advanced Searching comes with an option to offer the Alta Vista
type "OR" search but most libraries have decided not to offer this to
patrons.
I understand you cannot have both the traditional Keyword searching and
Advanced Keyword Searching on your system. You have to choose one or the
other. WWWoptions do not control this. Your system has either the old
Keyword Searching or Advanced Keyword Searching.
