I have a student trying to configure the OmniWeb browser for her Mac,
which is running OS X, to use the III proxy server.

Here is what she has done:

>The OmniWeb has a preference panel to configure proxy servers, and I
>entered "http://janus.uoregon.edu:8080/proxy.pac" as the URL and "http"
as the protocol. I left "Destinations" blank. I've experimented with the
>settings a little, but whenever I click the MedLine link from the
>library's web site, it takes me to OCLC FirstSearch's login screen, and
it doesn't take me to the search page like it does when I'm configured
>properly. Cookies are set to always accept.

Does anyone have any experience with or advice about this configuration?

thanks, Sara
