Our freezing problem ended when we moved from Windows98 second edition to
Windows 2000.

Subject: Millennium Performance Requirements

Millennium Users:

I have searched through the archives and found differing messages
regarding performance of Millennium Serials (& other Millennium
modules). My machine is a Pentium 3, 500 mhz, 128 MB RAM. I have many
problems with MilSer freezing and even locking up sometimes. We are
going crazy with it. We've had it up and running for a year now and the
problem has not improved.

I have seen messages indicating that hardware is the problem. I've seen
messages indicating that hardward is not the problem. I've seen messages
indicating that the network on which the Millennium is operated is the
problem. I've seen messages indicating that the network is not the problem.

We installed a new videocard on one of our machines last February and
that hasn't helped either. At IUG last year, I thought Ted Fons said
that Rel. 2001 was supposed to take care of the freezing problems.

Is there anybody out there successfully and speedily using Millennium
Serials? If so, could you please send me the specs of your machines,
what network you are using, etc. I would be very grateful.
