POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

ASSISTANT ACQUISITIONS/SERIALS LIBRARIAN

The Jacob Burns Law Library seeks an assistant 
acquisitions/serials librarian to supervise the serials and bindery 
aspects of the Acquisitions/Serials Department. Responsibilities 
include maintaining the serials database of the library’s online 
catalog, investigating and resolving problems with serials receipt, 
acting as a liaison for the library with vendors, and overseeing 
bindery. The librarian in this position reports to the head of 
acquisitions/serials and supervises three staff who check-in serials 
and periodicals, and prepare bindery shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS: MLS from an ALA-accredited institution; 
experience with online library serials control systems; outstanding 
communication skills; strong service orientation and team spirit; 
self-starter. PREFERRED: Academic law library serials experience.
