creating macro in Anzio

The computer people here are threatening to install XP on my machine so I will have to wean myself off PfW.  I use the telnet function of Pfw to access our catalog to be able to use a few macros.  I have a simple macro for receiving items that types in the rdate field number, types in the "enter" command, replies yes to using today's date, quits, and makes changes permanent.  I have been trying to recreate the macro in Anzio version 12.2. I can record all the key strokes, but cannot get the date inserted.  Am I missing something really simple?  
I don't like to use rapid updating in III to receive materials because I don't always have an order record number, and since I have alot of distractions and have been known to reverse numbers, I like to be able to see the title of the material I'm receiving.
