Good Afternoon,
We are a new Innovative library in the process of migrating from DRA. We
are currently using 13 digit codabar barcodes with a mod 10 check digit. We
have been told that III check digit validation is designed to work with 14
digit, mod-10 barcodes and will not work with 13 digit barcodes.
For those of you who have turned off your check digit validation, how much
of a problem has this caused? Do you notice a significant number of
incorrect barcodes when they are added manually? -Janice
