Please join the ALCTS PreOrder PreCat Discussion Group from 9:30 a.m.-11:00
a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2001 in the Marriott New Orleans Mardi Gras BR
D&E as we discuss how Onix promises to revolutionize electronic ordering
and change the workflow procedures in PreOrder-PreCat units.

Sandra Paul of SKP Associates and Brian Green from BIC/EDItEUR will share
abrief overview of what Onix is and how it was developed as well as what
its potential impact is on the ordering process for Preorder/Precataloging
Units. The program is a successor to the Annual Conference program in
which Michael Somers discussed EDI and its implications for monograph
ordering and cataloging. He touched on Onix and got everyone's curiousity
aroused to the point that the audience asked for a presentation about Onix.
Come join the group and learn more about Onix.

Ample time will be provided for audience participation and discussion.
