We had problems with Millennium screens and screen refreshes on our
Dells. (Blobs of square blank data on the screen). Try changing the
hardware acceleration settings of the monitor and change it to something
else from whatever it is. (Right click desktop,
Properties/Settings/Advanced) and find the hardware acceleration
tab. There is a faq on CSdirect about this. We had various machines with
problems and there was no consistency on which setting was best for which
