I cannot explain how record suppression works but suppressed records
themselves cannot be completely invisible to OPAC users - if they are
suppressed records in Course Reserves for example cannot be viewed.
I suspect that OPAC users can view suppressed records in a Featured
List just as they can view these records when they are linked to a
course record in Course Reserves. If you don't want them to appear
in your new book lists then you should probably exclude them from your
featured list.
