Maximum number of variable fields?

What is the maximum number of MARC variable fields allowed in an INNOPAC bib
record?  I tried to find the answer in the Web based manual in vain.  The CD-ROM
version manual says that each record has a limit of 127 non-MARC fields with the
same field group tag.
