RE: In Transit yet available for pick up

This occurred in MilCirc and I have been informed by the Help Desk that
there is a known bug with MilCirc and a fix is included in Release 2001.
The items are those that have multiple holds. The current hold is
cancelled, setting it in transit to the next patron. The error is the items
are being placed on the holdshelf at the same time. The result is the
notice to pickup the item is queued before the item reached the pickup
location.

Michael, out of curiosity, did this problem occur in the character-based
INNOPAC system or in Millennium Circulation?

A patron has two items on hold that are checked in at another branch. The
item status is "t". However the patron record shows the items as available
to pick up at his agency even though they have not been checked in at that
library yet. Any ideas how this might have happened? I know there are
circumstances when an item is checked in at it's owning agency and you get
the message to either place in transit to the agency with the hold or place
on your holdshelf. However when I tried this as a possible answer to this
problem I found the item status becomes "!" for on holdshelf and showed
available for pick up at the requesting library. So I checked the item in a
second time and selected "t" for in transit to the requesting library to see
if it would still be listed as ready for pick up and with "t" status. This
time the item status was t however it did not show as ready for pick up on
the patron record. Thus I'm unable to duplicate this. I can't get the
item to stay as Ready for pick up and have a "t" status. Any ideas?
