We are on update D+, don't yet have advanced searching, and use Netscape
4.7. I can't make this happen in my catalog, either by adding to a
search, changing the spelling or wiping out the search and replacing it
completely.
In a quick survey, the only catalog in which I could reproduce this
problem (and only under advanced searching) happens to be one of the
early implementers of Rel. 2001 (we are not). Since I can reproduce
this in some catalogs and not in others using identical searches, I have
trouble believing this is simply a Netscape issue. On the other hand, in
the one catalog where I found it, IE had no trouble.
If this behavior disappeared in D+ (although we only have evidence from
two sites so far), then reappeared in Rel. 2001 (evidence of only one
site), that I think is a fair issue to raise with the product manager.
So in the libraries that are seeing a lot of this, are any of you on D+?
