Re: "premature" search starts

First of all, I'd like to offer my apologies to those who felt my initial
response unnecessarily curt.  That certainly was not my intention.  I was in
quite a rush yesterday and just wanted to point out the previous discussions
in the list archives regarding this continuing problem.  

That aside, the only info that I can really offer is to confirm what others
have said since my previous post (and these only reflect our experiences).

the "premature" searching seems to depend on how quickly you type as Mieko
pointed out.

it only seems to happen in Netscape (in a previous life, I used Netscape at
work and IE at home and never experienced the problem in IE).

As far as I know, the only "solution" that has been offered is to set the
"FORM_FOCUS" in the WWWOPTIONS to either 0, N or F to turn off the
Javascript that activates the first field of the input form.  Then, of
course, the user will always have to either tab to the input field or use
the mouse to put the cursor in the field.
