It's me again, asking yet ANOTHER question about the OPAC REQUEST function.
We finally turned this on and have it set up so our patrons may request only
when no items are available -- in other words, they can only ask for checked
out items when no other copies are available.

Last year when I asked about this, someone called me and told me it was
possible to have the system pay attention to the item status, which we would
like to do (so people don't request items that are billed or claim
returned). (I know this was something we would have to ask Innovative to
turn on for us, but I was hoping whoever called me would be willing to call
me again because i have misplaced my notes related to that phone call.)

I am hoping we might also be able to set it up so they can't request items
that are non-holdable (which would be based either on location or itype). I
can't find ANYthing about this in the Innopac Manual.

If it was you who called me, or if you have your OPAC REQUEST function set
up to look at status, itype, or location in addition to whether the item is
checked out, please contact me. Thanks in advance.

Blessed are the flexible, for they will not be bent out of shape. ;-)
