We will be migrating our catalog from a dynix system to III Millennium in the next few months.  My question regards serials summary holding statements migration.  Currently, our holdings statement are not part of our MARC record.  We understand that III could migrate summary holding statements if they appear in the 860's fields.  The LC manual for this, however, seems somewhat intimidating and we are wondering if it is worth the effort to get all our serials in this format before our migration or wait until the migration is over and do the updating then.  If anyone has had experience with this, I'd be glad to hear from you!  Thanks--Carol Resco
