We have been using EZProxy with the Patron API and it is surprisingly easy.
The creator of EZProxy already has the program configured to work with III.
You just have to download the correct version, make a few simple
modifications to the configuration file of EZProxy (there are easy to follow
directions), and Waalaa! IT works! Well, ok, we did have a few issues
since our patron database used some different codes, but Chris Zagar, the
creator of EZProxy, fixed the problem within 24 hours of the time I reported
it.

You also have to enable access to the server you have running EZProxy using
the NEtwork Access TAble on the III machine, and the III documentation tells
you how to do that.

If you have more specific questions about how this works, I'd be happy to
share additional information, but I can report that it is fairly simple to
configure and it works great!

Subject: API's/ Z39.50 Database Vendors

Seasons Greetings!
We are interested in the use of Innovatives Patron API in conjunction with
EZPROXY. Could anyone provide feedback regarding the two?

I would also like to know if anyone has a list of Z39.50 database
servers/vendors as well.

Thanks
