What I'd really like to see is the "pop-up" messages continue to pop up
until they have all been read. Am I dreaming??!
<<<

MilCirc appears to handle these in exactly the same way that the telnet version does, but only in reverse order....

1) First, the contents of the PMESSAGE field and the _first and only the first_ variable length MESSAGE field will come up in one dialog for one acknowledgement (not an override).
2) Second, all of the automatic blocks (patron expired, owes too much money, etc) and Manual Blocks which should all come up at once for one override.

That is just the way the system works and has worked, but the telnet version uses the opposite order... I think MilCirc switches them because you are not exactly going strictly into checkout when you pull up a patron record. You might want to pay a fine or just view the record. So, it correctly shows you the messages as it should and then if you try to check something out, it will display the blocks which only affect circulation... Makes sense, IMO.

Looks like it is time to submit an enhancement request if you want all of the MESSAGE fields to come up one by one...

In the meantime, you may want to set it that if a patron has more than one MESSAGE field that the first MESSAGE field says something like "VIEW THE ENTIRE PATRON RECORD, GOSH DARNIT!" so that your students get the hint... ;->

HTH,
David
