We use PC's with flat panel monitors at our Circ desk. The only sound we
were getting was from the barcode scanner. We scrounged up some old speakers
kicking around the library to use. They work fine, and the staff is much happier
now that they get the various beeps. We have not had any "issues" so far, but
our staff is hoping to get different sounds for different problems (overdues,
fines, etc.) in MilCirc soon. The biggest problem was finding a place for the
speakers.

BTW, we love the flat panel monitors at both Circ and Reference!
