Yes, I entirely agree with you.  It seems like one of those enhancements
that sound wonderful but when you actually get it you find that it doesn't
do what you expected it to do.  So people don't use it and it remains
unchanged for a long time. I hope it won't be too difficult for Innovative
to include record numbers both of the record itself and the linked
records.  And why not data from linked records which might solve the
problems of consortia wanting to output their items and their call numbers
only?  Simply to show that there are linked records (and their types) does
not seem very helpful.  I will certainly be submitting an enhancement
request.
