- Subject: Converting Barcode Scanners from Terminal Mode to PC Mode

Hi Everyone,
We are in mid-migration to Millennium and are attempting to modify our
Symbol LS4000 series barcode scanners currently attached to WYSE 50
terminals. We would like to modify the barcode scanners so that they
will read when attached to our new IBM Net Vista pcs. I purchased an
adapter cable (SYM-25-05705-1), re-set the parameters, but so far I
cannot get the scanners to work-- In fact, the scanners freeze my
keyboard. Has anyone had any luck in converting "terminal scanners" to
"pc scanners"?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
