I had always assumed that the enhancement requests were passworded so that competitors and prospective customers couldn't access them.
Certainly, our salesperson did not comply with my request to see customer enhancement requests.

Subject: Re: 11/28/00 IUG enhancements password

I have to admit, after the recent mishaps on the Innopacusers list relating to
the enhancements passwords, I'm inclined to agree with Byron Mayes's post a
couple of days ago about voting electronically. If it is truly important to keep
the password secret, so that only one person per institution has the ability to
vote, then I think that completely electronic voting is not going to work as long
as the same password is used to access the enhancements AND to vote. Why not put
the enhancements under consideration up on the CSdirect site, with Innovative's
blessing, where anyone can review them - and then use the password to access the
ballot ONLY?
