And, this may be totally unrelated, but are people aware of the problem of fields failing to index in WEBOPAC? We have just noticed this lately, and sent a call into III in Oct. We did not hear from them, but came upon another instance yesterday and updated the call.
What is happening is that various fields are not indexing in the WEBOPAC. We have had examples of call numbers (090) most frequently, but also subject headings and, just yesterday, a title. The fields appear in the record in GUICAT, even index in GUICAT and text mode, but do not index in WEBOPAC. This has us really concerned about other records which we just haven't found.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Thanks.
Penny

Does the disappearing cursor only occur in title searches?
In any case, has anyone reported this to III? If so, what was the
response? Do you have a call #?
It may be unrelated, but I remember that the Netscape "data missing" problem
(when patrons try to print a WebPac screen found via a title search) seems
to occur only on title searches, which (I understand) III has declared to be
a Netscape glitch.
