No we have not had the big freeze yet on our
NT boxes. One thing we discoved though is that
IF you run service pack 6 on NT, be sure to
also install service pack 6a if you are intending
to run Millennium from a non-privileged account.
We had all kinds of problems with this. (right Dave?)

We would install Millennium as a user with admin rights,
then remove admin rights. This worked fine on pre-sp 6
systems on on sp6 with the 6a service pack, but on on
plain sp 6. If your users have admin rights this may
not be an issue.

I have heard that Windows NT does much better at working with Java than
Windows 95/98 does. We are running Windows 95 and Mill Circ on PIII
500mhz, 128mb ram, and are experiencing unpredictable freezes. I am
thinking of building a Windows NT machine to test at the circ desk to see
if that improves performance. Is anyone who is experiencing the Millennium
freezing problem running Windows NT?

Thanks,
David
