Just to add to Michael's reply, Bob Duncan, Systems Librarian at Lafayette,
has put together a terrific guide to the modifications he's using there, and
which he's shared with the list once before. You can find that message in
the list archives at
http://innopacusers.org/list/archives/2000/msg01463.html
Yuan Yao's perl script is one of the most useful, time-saving utilities I
know of. For those of you lucky enough to be in the Mid-Atlantic region:
Yuan Yao and Bob Duncan will be co-presenting a session describing its use
and various features at the Mid-Atlantic Innovative Users Group conference
on October 19-20th in Washington DC. Details at

Hi David,
By title, by fund, and by call number out of the item record.... (not
perfect
some of the subsorts are not working and I occationally have to do a little
manual editting for the W class numbers) Also, these are based on the old
verisions of the Georgetown scripts so don't have the new modifications but
there
is a "strip out diacritics" which is implemented.

I also used modified versions to create subject listings for our netLibrary
collection until we get the MARC records and Innovative finishes the special
netLibrary loaders.

Many, many thanks to Georgetown. Without their leadership and creativity, I
would not have been able to build the modified scripts.
Mike
