Bill,

We are dealing with similar sorts of issues and it sounds as if we have a
similar innopac environment.

We have replaced a number of terminals (as they fail) with PCs on our main
campus student network. They are mixture of new pentiums and old pentium
133s, all running windows 98, and we have them setup to be multi purpose
access machines, not dedicated to innopac. Our web page is the front end,
providing access to databases both local and remote, and also all our
information pages as well as webpac.
Our main issue is security (the students wanting to use the machines for
all sorts of purposes of their own, including mischief), and we are using
foolproof to manage that.

The whole arrangement works well for us.

Carolyn
