In my experience, the Lantronix boxes have no batteries--when the building
power dies, they die too.

I've got one connected to a UPS, which keeps it alive so long as the UPS
lives.  When power returns, the UPS just wakes itself up, it doesn't (to
my knowledge) have the sophistication to do things like reboot a terminal
server.
