Hi Linda,

We use CatME in conjunction with Innovative and have been pleased with the
way they work together. We do a lot of batch searching and and updating so
it has been helpful for us. When we started out with Innovative our Tech
Services department was much larger and we served twice as many libraries.
We also did all cataloging and processing for all of those libraries. Now
there are just two of us in Tech Services and basically all we do is the
original cataloging and cataloging of items that the libraries can't figure
how to do brief bibs on. We also overlay their brief bibs or order records
with full OCLC records. When we purchased the OCLC interface back 4 years
ago we did not purchase the networked product. So the two of us share one
interface that attached to my assistant's PC. This has resulted in my doing
a lot of authority work on disks and passing them to her at the end of the
day for exporting into our INNOPAC.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I'm not sure that
what we are doing is the best but we are making do just fine with what we
have until we can do something better.

Good morning!

We are a brand new Innovatinve library, so please forgive me if I
ask a stupid question. I had CatME thrust upon me 3 years ago
and now have the option not to use it. Would any of you be
willing to comment pro or con about using CatME with Innovative?
Please reply privately so as not to clutter up the list.

Many thanks!
