We are in the process of switching over to Millennium Circulation and are
having a problem with our receipt printers. We use the Star TSP552II
receipt printer which is a 48-column thermal printer with an automatic
cutting feature.

We have managed to get the printers to print but the formatting is not
correct (it breaks at odd places) although it is readable in a pinch. Our
bigger problem is that the paper will not advance enough on its own to
effectively use the auto paper cutter feature. Part of the data is stuck
down in the printer. We have to use the form feed button for each receipt
to advance the paper to a place where we can tear off the receipt without
losing information. We are wanting to use these printers primarily for the
date due slip feature and the list of items checked out feature.

Does anyone use this thermal receipt printer or a similar printer with an
auto cutting feature? Does anyone else use a 48-column printer? We have
tried a different printer driver, paper size, and some dip switch settings
but nothing works.

I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. We are not sure what
else we can try at this point.
