- Subject: Authority display question
As a consortium with 12 libraries, each with it's own scoped setting, we
have run into a little problem with the displaying of authority cross
referencing. This appears to happen only with the name authorities When we
are viewing "All Locations" the authority records act in the normal manner
and supply the appropriate cross references.
For example: A search for DK Multimedia supplies a reference to Dorling
Kindersley Multimedia.
However, when we are scoped to a specific branch, the same search acts as
if it were a regular author search and automatically supplies the inverted
name suggestion.
For example: The DK Multimedia search supplies the suggestion to Change
search to Interactive, DK.
Is there something in the authority records (either OCLC or Innovative) that
might be causing this that we could correct through editing something or
establishing some new Innovative acode?
TIA for any suggestions.
