I've also been confused by this, and haven't been able to get a
satisfactory answer about the impact of Millennium Serials checkin when
holdings are in the bib record only.
My question is a variation on Lisa's, as our holdings are not in a MARC
format at all. The information is in a combination of locally defined
subfields in the 949 field.
When there are no holdings whatsoever in the checkin record, does checkin
using Millennium Serials "millenniumize" the checkin record? (Thanks to
Ted Fons for that very descriptive word).
