- Subject: Update: Innopac System Printer & Firewall
We got the issue with our Innopac system printer and firewall resolved.
Our library is sharing the Innopac database with another site (Roanoke
College) and we are the associate site. So if we asked Innopac to print
anything, the command would first be sent to the server (off-campus at
Roanoke C.) and then to the printer (back on our campus).
A firewall was installed on our campus last week. I found out later that
I needed to inform our networking people that port 9100 needed to be
available for the system printer.
Now everything is printing from Innopac as before--yay!
Thanks to all who responded. I hope this helps other consortia who
consider firewalls (which are necessary, BTW).
Sincerely,
Tammy K. Baker
