Has anyone who is using advanced searching (which I believe will be
available to all Millennium sites at some point) found that this is an
acceptable substitute for scoping by material type?
For those of you who haven't seen a demo of this feature, check out the
Innovative site at http://demo.iii.com:81/search/ Select a word search
and then type Hamlet in the search box. In the drop down menu under
Material Type, select Sound/Tape. This will return a browse screen with 3
entries. A search under the default material type of Any gives you 77
entries.
In theory this would seem an acceptable substitute for scoping, and you
would not have to pay extra for the scoping feature. Any thoughts on
this?
