I loaded Release 2000 on Saturday, February 19, in the
morning. We are a turnkey site running on a DEC Alpha.
It took ten-fifteen minutes to do the preparation phase,
including the trip downstairs to put in the recovery tape,
and about nine minutes to actually create it.
The conversion phase took about 25 minutes.
At this point, I did have a problem. Our system did not
reboot. After waiting 10 minutes, I called Innovative.
They verified the system was up, the there was a network
problem or something effecting our access. The III
technician rebooted all our ports, and we were fine. I
think this was local problem and you shouldn't worry about
it.
In total, we were down for just a little over an hour.
Have fun with your upgrade!
