We also use the Kwik Case security cases and find them an 
excellent means of shelving (on open shelf) our DVDs, 
videocassettes and CDs.

As for searching for DVDs, we do two things.  First, we 
create in the 600 field a subject heading: Digital video 
discs.  Second, we enable our patrons to use the "limit" 
function and search by material type.  To do this we change 
in the imported record the "G" (projected media) to a "d" 
(our code for DVD).  Therefore, a patron can search and 
limit by material type.  We do similar cataloging for 
videocassettes and CDs.
