Hello everyone,
Our libraries have a number of special collections they want to
make readily searchable for their patrons. For example, the
Friends of Jung collection in San Diego has some 300 titles.
Currently there is no way for patrons to browse the collection
online.
Each collection has its own item location code, but that doesn't
help in patron searches. Some suggestions have been to put
the collection name in the 440 [no-o-o!], the keyworded 520 as
an annotation [awkward], and the 730.
How have others of you facilitated patron searches of your
special collections?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Nancy
