We still have several older PCs in circulation and technical services 
running ProcommPlus to connect to our Innopac over hardwired serial 
connections.  These have been very fast and reliable connections since they 
do not rely on the campus network or internet to connect.

Recently two of the computers were replaced with new machines running 
Windows98.  Procomm for Windows is not satisfactory.  I asked III for the 
best way to use the serial connections on these computers, but was not 
given a helpful answer.

I would certainly appreciate any suggestions.
