Hi,

we at the National Library of Estonia have a lot of materials in the
closed stacks and we use the "automatic patron requests".

The Innovative has an option to determine what materials can be requested
and which patrons can request. There is some kind of table for that -
sorry, I do not remember closer right now: which table or where, but you
can not set it up by yourself.

For example our patrons can requests only that material which is located
in our closed stacks (specific location codes) if these items are
available (they are not missing or lost or lib use only or with any other
status which means for us - not available). Some materials they can not
request by themselves, they need to contact our circ.staff.

And only these patrons can request items who are not blocked (if there are
no manual blocks in patron record).

And of cource there is a limit how many items the user can request at a
time. This last one you can specify, but concerning the others you should
contact the Innovative.

If you need any details, you just let me know.

Hope, it helps.

Regards,
Riin.
