We had the same problem with attached printers in other branches and I had
some correspondence on this list about the problem last year.  I tried
every setting imaginable on these printers and got advice from our III
trainer but the conclusion we had to come to was that attached printers
don't work for notice printing.  

Donna Bacon's comment "We use QVT and to print notices
correctly, the transparency mode has to be turned on." is interesting.  We
also use QVT and this is fine with our system printer in the main library
but not, as I've already said, for the attached ones in the branches. (I
don't quite understand what "transparency mode" is.)
