- Subject: Create lists for call #s with multiple |a
Dear Innovators,
I'm looking for a creative Create Lists strategy. At ignoble moments in
our departmental history, LC call numbers that suggested multiple
classifications were allowed to pass into the catalog unedited, thus:
050 00 Z2014.F4|bM385 1997|aPR821
Books actually went to the stacks labeled this way. I have found most of
the errors in the Z's just by looking at the shelves, but various
alternates are suggested throughout the schedules, especially in the case
of an option to class a series together or separately.
How can I gather the offending records through Create Lists? Looking for
call numbers that have |a doesn't work, because the system reads a hidden
|a in every call number.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Naomi
