I had a similar need when we changed printers and PCs quite a while
back--but the exact *opposite* (I kept getting paper-wasting banner
pages when I didn't want them)--and I had consulted our Technology
Services staff. Maybe this will work for you:
In Windows98 (I think Windows95 was nearly identical), go to Start /
Settings / Printers / <rightclick the desired printer> / Properties /
Printer Settings / <click Enable Banner checkbox> / OK.
