Folks,
As I look at my calendar, I am first amazed that it is already the end of
September! But, that also means that the deadline for submitting proposals for
the IUG 2000 meeting in Philadelphia (April 29 - May 2) is fast approaching.
The deadline for program submission is Friday October 15. The form to fill out
is available directly from
http://www.rodman.lib.oh.us/iug/program/iug-proposal.html
or indirectly from the innopacusers.org home page.
To remind you of topics that you may want to consider, here is a non-inclusive
list:
+ Millennium - all modules
+ Customizing WebPAC - WWWOptions file, public services uses, using
WebPAC in Kiosk mode
+ Tech Services - OPAC indexing, software, hardware, cataloging,
acquisitions
+ Projects that use INNOPAC - practical applications in every day use
+ Training information - writing documentation for staff
+ User Manual - How to use, how to customize
+ Workflow issues
+ Public library concerns - Homebound module, holds, Kids' OPAC
+ Statistics - SCAT tables, creating, exporting, creating reports
+ Systems management - Security, maintenance, software only sites
+ ILL module - real use of it
+ Serials/Standing Orders - checkin records, electronic claiming,
statistics, maintenance
+ Materials booking - real-life applications
+ Course/Electronic reserves - real-life applications
+ Interfaces with jobbers - BTLink, TSource II
+ FTS uses
As a reminder, you are not limited to the topics in this list, but your
proposal MUST be related to INNOPAC and Millennium products and services.
So don't delay! Submit that proposal today!
